About Us
Manheim is Australia’s market leader in automotive remarketing, offering an unrivalled range of products, services, and expertise across the industry. We deliver comprehensive solutions spanning passenger vehicles, commercial assets, light and heavy trucks, motorcycles, boats, recreational vehicles, machinery, plant, and equipment.
We also support the insurance sector through specialist remarketing of damaged vehicles and assets.
Manheim is part of Cox Automotive, the world’s largest automotive services organisation. Together, we are transforming how people buy, sell, own, and use vehicles.
About the Role
This is a highly visible, commercially focused role where you will manage key dealer relationships, identify new partnership opportunities, and drive buyer engagement and performance across Manheim’s national simulcast and online Passenger and Commercial Vehicle auctions.
You will play a critical role in both the sales performance and live auction environment, working closely with buyers and sellers to drive participation, retention, and revenue growth.
Auction day presence is a key part of the role. You will build credibility with dealership stakeholders, support buyers in real time, and actively contribute to the success of live auctions—including conducting auctioneering.
Importantly, you do not need prior auctioneering experience. We provide full training through our in-house Auction Academy, designed to build your confidence and capability in the auction environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Be an integral member of the live auction team for Passenger and Commercial Vehicle (PCV) assets
- Manage a portfolio of key dealer accounts, ensuring strong engagement and performance
- Own the buyer-facing aspects of site-based auctions to deliver volume, sales, and revenue targets
- Grow buyer participation across onsite, simulcast, and online auction channels
- Build trusted relationships with Dealer Principals, Used Car Managers, and senior stakeholders
- Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities
- Provide market insights, buyer intelligence, and pricing feedback to internal and external stakeholders
- Deliver a consistently high-quality buyer experience across all auction touchpoints
- Collaborate closely with operations, vendor services, and national sales teams

- Strong dealership experience (typically at Used Car Manager level or similar leadership roles) with a deep understanding of used vehicle operations
- Proven capability in sales, negotiation, and commercial decision-making
- Strong understanding of buyer behaviour, pricing dynamics, and stock turn
- Confidence engaging with senior dealership stakeholders and influencing outcomes
- A track record of building and maintaining long-term customer relationships
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills
- The ability to manage objections, conflict, and competing priorities professionally
